Start wherever you like
No preparation, questionnaire or blank page. Talk, type, pause or change subject without being rushed.
Life stories, kept in the voice they were told.
Remi is a private, voice-first place to tell your stories without preparing anything. Pause when you like, keep uncertainty as uncertainty, and decide what others may see.
For storytellers, invited family and the care teams they choose.

The Talk screen — where every visit begins.
Why this matters
Family history often lives in fragments: a much-repeated saying, the name of a dance hall, a journey to work, the way Sunday lunch was made.
Remi is designed to make storytelling gentle and ongoing — never a test, a score or a formal interview, but a conversation that unfolds at its own pace. It is designed to support wellbeing, mood and a sense of connection, and to keep a life story in the words it was told in.
How it works
There is no script to complete. Each conversation can begin wherever feels natural.
No preparation, questionnaire or blank page. Talk, type, pause or change subject without being rushed.
Remi asks one short question at a time, follows the details you choose and leaves uncertainty uncertain.
Misheard details can be corrected before they are kept, with a short quote and source attached.
Choose what stays private and what family, care or future legacy access may include.
Designed to follow, not lead
Remi is being designed to hold useful context without turning a recollection into unquestioned fact. “I think”, “maybe” and “1968?” remain uncertain. A correction is checked before anything is kept.

Remi is an AI companion, not a person
Why this was asked: This follows something Margaret just said.
Intended experience. Remi asks one question at a time and does not save a poor or repetitive transcript.
Inside the app
Early screens from the Remi prototype. Names and stories shown are examples.

Talk
A calm orb, not a person. Speak or type, pause, change subject or finish.

Stories
Kept in their own words, with who can see each one.

One story
Private, family, care or legacy — the storyteller chooses.

My life
A timeline by decade. Uncertain dates stay uncertain.

Family
Invitation only. Private stays private.

Care resident
A person, not a chart. Staff notes stay labelled.

Take a copy
A life story, book or archive — reviewed by a person first.

Legacy choices
What is kept, and who may see it — decided with care, in advance.
Three audiences, different rights
Family and care can contribute to the record. They cannot silently change it or see beyond what was shared with them.
The storyteller decides
Talk with Remi, revisit stories, people, places and past conversations, and decide what is private, family, care or legacy.
Thoughtful by design
Useful technology should stay in the background. What matters is feeling heard, understood and in control.
Speak naturally instead of typing or working through a questionnaire.
Return to familiar people, places and open threads across different conversations.
Keep the connections around a story together, so its meaning is easier to follow.
Gather stories, people, places and a timeline into a collection that can also become a reviewed book.
Family can offer photos, context and questions. Suggestions stay labelled and never overwrite the story.
Keep each saved memory traceable to the conversation or contribution it came from.
Make room for ‘I’m not sure’ and update details when the storyteller corrects them.
Change the subject, pause or leave something private — without being pushed to continue.
What it could become
This is an early product. We are exploring what a thoughtful, useful archive could become — and inviting the people who might use it to shape that direction.
Named as the storyteller named them, with the original words and source kept close.
Organised gently by decade, with approximate dates left approximate.
Previewed by a person before it is treated as finished; private material does not ride along.
A copy of the record and its sources, prepared without changing who may see what.
Choices that remain yours
One day, a life’s record becomes a legacy — and it becomes one the storyteller shaped in advance: what is kept, who may see it and for how long. Those wishes are honoured with care and confirmed by a person at every step, never assumed.
Built with, not just for
Being early means listening properly. We are looking for honest feedback, thoughtful challenges and practical pilot conversations.

Help us understand what you would want to ask, contribute and preserve — without taking over.
Explore how this could fit real routines and support richer understanding of each person.
